As a Registered Nurse and an Occupational Health Nurse in hospitals, clinics and corporate health, Lisa has witnessed how being clinically obese can seriously impact on a patient’s health in so many ways. It can put major stress on the body, which can increase your risk of health issues such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, a lowered immunity, joint issues, neurological disorders such as dementia and certain cancers.
Unfortunately, obesity can lower the blood flow to the brain and as our weight increases the size and function of our brain decreases.(Daniel G. Amen, MD) This also applies to children. Therefore, leaving obesity uncontrolled can lead to serious health risks. It can also have a negative impact on fertility due to the changing hormones, your sleep and energy levels, therefore adding a new set of problems.
However, on the flip side, Lisa has witnessed when a patient has become healthier, it leads to extremely welcome benefits. The results are often remarkable. But it’s important that it is a lifestyle change, so that you do not fall back into any past unhealthy habits. Maintaining health is often the hardest part of change and this is why it is essential to first correct and bring awareness to any limiting subconscious programmes that we have. Without acknowledging the programmed mind, nothing will change for long before we gradually fall back into unwanted habits and addictions.
This method of natural health is not about dieting but about a ‘way of life’ to bring your health back into balance and harmony to the way nature intended. Your diet is your nourishment. It is not about eating less, but about eating wisely and putting thought into it. It is important to reduce internal inflammation that poor food choices cause. This method will induce self-love and the worthiness of knowing that you deserve the best health possible by readjusting the mindset for better self-care. Food must always be your lifelong medicine to bring out the best in you mentally, emotionally and physically. You will find that your mood and energy levels will improve.
Unfortunately, the fast food industry do an amazing job to very successfully entice people into buying their food through repetitive advertising, using large pictures in bold, appetising colour schemes so that you will want to eat it. This triggers the brain and mind into a hypnotic state. Often, fast food isn’t healthy food that the body needs. It is often made up with chemicals that work against the natural body system. Long term this may cause dis-ease within the body. The mind learns by repetition, hence repetitive advertising on TV, online, billboards, buses, cabs, radio..everywhere you look! Watching TV ads in the evening when the mind is naturally in a lower and calmer brainwave can be a hypnotic and very suggestible for the mind. The ads will soak in like a sponge. This works on the mind in a very clever way. Unfortunately, It can be financially driven, at your health’s expense.
Scientific research shows that over 90% of traditional diets are unsuccessful.
This is because traditional diets only focus on the habit of action, rather than the habit of thought. The power of thought comes before the action, and trying to change a lifelong behaviour consciously, by just using your ‘willpower’, is difficult to achieve. Your thoughts and your feelings control your actions and therefore control what you do. Every thought you think has an emotion associated to it, so don’t try and change the action first, look at the thought process that keeps the action going. If you have a habit or behaviour that you want to change, it is far better to do this through your subconscious mind. It has to be a lifestyle change and our mind is the first change required to make it happen on a more permanent basis.
Let’s explain: Research tells us that our mind is made up of 95% subconscious and only 5% conscious mind. As you can see, your subconscious mind greatly dominates. Therefore, knowing that your subconscious mind stores your habits, addictions, memories and beliefs, to name a few, and many from childhood, makes it even more essential to create new, up-to-date, more mature beliefs and habits. Once these are stored in your subconscious mind, they will transform and redirect your thought patterns for the health outcome that you want. This has an effect on your neurological and biological processes.
You want your subconscious programmes to match your wishes and desires for the life that you really want. If you find it difficult or struggle to change an unhealthy food habit that you have maintained for many years, this is because your subconscious mind doesn’t support that programme. This is often due to being unaware that you are living in past limiting programme.
Therefore, to reprogramme your mind with new habits and behaviours, that you do want and need, is one way to achieve lasting change.
Lisa will work with you in different ways; consciously, subconsciously and energetically. It is a natural process, good for your health, and a part of who you are.
Working on the root cause of why you have a weight issue is an essential step to take for your success. To improve your relationship with food and exercise, and to understand why you are making certain unhealthy choices is important for you to know in order to successfully move forward. Don’t waste your time living in your past limiting beliefs, as it’s very important to live a quality, fulfilling life, so that you can achieve the goals and dreams that you felt were previously out of reach.
Knowledge is freedom and powerful, because it helps you to make better decisions and wiser choices. If you could look inside your body and see the effects certain foods inflict on it, I can assure you that you wouldn’t eat them again. They can contribute to many possible life threatening diseases.
Food is your body’s lifetime medicine. The correct nutritional balance is essential to heal and protect your body and boost your immune system. When you feed your body with processed foods, chemicals, preservatives and additives, your immune system is lowered and compromised. Every cell in your body is affected. Your food can either promote wellness or dis-ease.
Hydration is so crucial for many reasons. Keeping your body hydrated means drinking enough water each day to remain healthy. Remaining hydrated helps the body to regulate body temperature (this is why we become more thirsty in hot weather) keeps your joints lubricated, helps to prevent infection, delivers nutrients to every cell in your body, and keeps your organs functioning properly. The body is made up of about 60-70% water, so it makes sense to remain hydrated and on top of your water intake.
Exercise or increased movement is a wonderful way to do an activity that you enjoy and get fit at the same time. Even if you currently dread the thought of exercising, we will together upgrade this thinking pattern, and move you forward to that vision of how you want to be. Exercise in whatever form you enjoy because it’s an important part of your body and mind health.
Inactivity is associated with so many diseases that can cause premature death, that we should not make it an option.
Many people are emotional eaters, but your emotions cannot be satisfied with food. If you are eating to mask negative emotional feelings, then no amount of food is going to help you. It will just increase your weight and this may affect your health in the long term. Emotional and physical hunger are totally different. We will work together on the root cause first. Once this is done, we can work on installing the good stuff, for a happier, healthier you!
Without adequate sleep and rest you cannot function properly. It is important to make lifestyle choices that promote wellbeing through prioritising sleep. We spend about one third of our lives sleeping, and this is because our body needs to restore our energy and heal while we sleep, to remain healthy and alert in our waking hours. Your sleeping environment should promote a space for relaxation, with a cool room temperature if possible, or a temperature that makes you feel comfortable to sleep. Darkness is another essential element to promote the right environment for sleep.
Melatonin is a hormone that the Pineal gland in the brain produces in response to darkness, and natural levels of melatonin in the blood are highest at night. High levels can help you fall asleep. It helps with the timing of the circadian rhythm, which is your 24hr clock, and with sleep. Being exposed to light at night can block melatonin production. Melatonin lets you know when it’s time to sleep, wake, and eat. It regulates your body temperature, Blood Pressure and some hormone levels. Melatonin also has other roles in the body beyond sleep. So the production of this wonderful chemical is beneficial for keeping you well.
It is hard to catch up on the debt accumulated from lack of sleep.
Lisa will give you the tools and resources to help you to know how to drift into your relaxation brainwaves, from that busy high beta brainwave to alpha, theta then delta. It is essential to put your ‘thoughts’ to sleep first, otherwise the mind will remain too active for a relaxed, deep and nourishing sleep.
The arousal of the stress hormone cortisol, in particular, is released when the the mind becomes stressed and anxious about an event or with life in general. The mind controls your bodily functions, therefore regular thinking in stress mode may eventually cause ill health.
At times, stress is helpful as it releases chemicals for the fight and flight response that boosts energy and attention. Unfortunately though, many people don’t spend enough time in healthy brain waves that can help to restore balance and function. Therefore, life isn’t as it should be, or the way you want it to be, you feel unable to cope, so your purpose becomes blocked.
Living in stress can affect your memory and brain processing. Your body uses a lot of energy when you are stressed and this energy depletes your immune system from the energy it requires to keep you well and free from disease. Stress affects your heart health and can cause gastrointestinal problems. Even fertility can be affected by stress. The list for negative health issues is lengthy, therefore, knowing how to control stress is vital.
It is hard to catch up on the debt accumulated from lack of sleep.

As a Registered Nurse, Lisa has seen first hand what the detrimental affects suffering from chronic pain can have on a person’s health and life. It can be debilitating to their quality of life, and therefore a full, happy life is often not achieved. Pain can interfere with self-esteem, confidence, happiness and induce anxiety and emotional distress. Not a pleasant experience for any human being.
Pain is a general term that describes uncomfortable sensations in the body. It stems from activation of the nervous system. Pain lets us know when something is wrong, then we can act on it. There are various types of pain ranging from acute pain which develops over a short period of time. It tends to occur as a result of an injury, illness or medical procedure. Chronic pain, is often more long term and can come and go, and can result from various health conditions. Some people experience chronic pain when there’s no evidence of underlying injury or illness, known as functional pain.
Never settle for being ‘used to the pain’. It is important to bring back your quality of life. The treatment for pain often depends on the underlying cause. Lisa may liaise with your GP or Specialist regarding what treatment you have had, and currently prescribed, if any. She will work alongside conventional medicine. It is important to look at your external and internal environments, making sure everything possible has been done to achieve the optimum result for you. Lisa’s treatment will be natural and personalised.
During your sessions Lisa will use evidence based therapeutics that are a highly effective way of using the power of your mind and your energy system to change your perception of pain and your reaction to it. During your sessions the nervous system will be brought into relaxation, and the wonderful chemical Oxytocin is released in the brain that is known to help relieve pain and to have a calming effect on your body and mind. Learning certain techniques will help you to live your life more fully and increase your own quality of life.
The Internal Vision healing, meditation, clinical hypnosis and breath work will be used as a part of your treatment. This model of self-care will help you to maintain your own health, and the principle behind this is to maintain a deep connection to yourself and your purpose in life. It is all about focusing on the ‘self’. Self-love, feeling worthy, and your belief system, all have a huge impact on your health. This natural healthcare system is powerful and you will be surprised at what you can achieve.
Lisa will also offer an in-person/remote Reiki energy healing session to her clients.
Food is your body’s life-time medicine. It promotes and creates internal health, keeping you well, functioning properly and free from disease. Nutritional balance is essential for optimal health and this cannot be voiced enough in this current world. Without adequate and correct nutrients going into your body on a daily basis, your body and mind over time will begin to suffer and lack the essential nutrients to keep every cell in your body functioning optimally. And of course, what you feed yourself on a daily basis will have an affect on your pain threshold and recovery.
Hydration. Water is an essential element to keeping you healthy. As our body is made up of over 60% water, it makes sense to drink good filtered water. Being hydrated is so important for many bodily functions, including the delivery of oxygen throughout the body. Staying hydrated will certainly help with the recovery process of any illness.
Lisa will help you to develop a better thinking system towards pain. Our thoughts, emotions and actions have a profound effect on how we conduct ourselves in our daily life and have a deep effect on our health. Every thought you think creates a chemical reaction in the body, neurologically and biologically, and this is why it is important to be clear on what thoughts and emotions to change that limit you and what new thoughts and emotions to install in their place for a better thinking system that will improve the quality of your health. How you think, how you act and how you feel represents your current life, and is the formation of your personality.
Unexplained Infertility (or Idiopathic infertility) is diagnosed when a couple have been unsuccessfully trying to conceive for 12 months or more of unprotected intercourse. As well as the inability to fall pregnant, other diagnoses have been ruled out and all other physical explanations, from the male and female side.
30% of infertile couples worldwide are diagnosed with unexplained infertility. (Journal of Reproduction & infertility, Avicenna Research Institute)
Secondary Infertility is the inability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to full term after previously giving birth. The inability to conceive can often lead to feelings of frustration, anger, guilt, resentment and inadequacy. Negative feelings can often lead the body to release hormones of stress. Stress is when your brain and body are knocked out of balance and out of homeostasis. Negative stress uses up energy that the body and brain could put to better use. Long term, these stress chemicals may create disease and have a negative impact on fertility. However, if our thoughts and feelings can make us sick, then we are able to reverse this process.
Relaxing the nervous system will bring well-being back into the body. Having a clear vision of what you want to create in your life, and elevating those emotions, will bring balance and harmony back into the mind and body, that will release the chemicals that help the body to heal, rebalance and put you into a better space to conceive. The energy totally changes within you.
Lisa’s clinical experience as a Registered Nurse has seen her help women who have presented with unexplained and secondary infertility within conventional medicine. This has driven her to want to help women and couples with unexplained or secondary infertility issues, focusing on the clients mind, emotional health and their energy system.
Lifestyle issues will also be addressed, these are highly important.
Science tells us that every thought you think creates a physical reaction in the body. Your mind and how you think, and the emotions associated with those thoughts, can play a huge role in the management of helping women to conceive, who have no clinical diagnosis stopping them from falling pregnant.
If you have any negative thoughts or limiting beliefs from possible previous birth trauma or past issues around having a baby, or feelings of frustration and guilt, this information will store in the subconscious mind and therefore may affect the outcome, because your subconscious mind is not supporting what you want. The subconscious mind is very powerful, so to work on your mind and your thinking system, emotional health and energy centres, is a good start towards getting your mind and body to work in harmony with one another to help you achieve your goal.
Energy healing will help to rebalance your energy system. It will relax the nervous system and improve your whole body and mind. This will help to create the right internal environment that will work towards a healthy energy flow. Where focus goes, energy flows. Self-love and to feel worthy and appreciate who you are, is another important process to changing your energy, thoughts and emotional state.
If you don’t start out on your journey, you won’t reach your goal …
